Patti LaBelle, 78, Rushed Off Milwaukee theater Stage After  Reported  Bomb Threat  During Her  Concert

Patti LaBelle was in the middle of a holiday performance when security stormed the stage and escorted the stunned singer away to safety.

"In response to the bomb threat in the 100 block of West Wisconsin Avenue, all patrons have been safely evacuated."

"K9 units conducted a search of the structure. Explosive devices weren't found. There is no threat to the public at this time

She admitted, "I've been in those situations where people just didn't like me and I would always love them even more.

 I'm 77 years old, and I can still sing and stand. In other words, Patti LaBelle is the only one who has really suffered.

Patricia Louise Holte, known professionally as Patti LaBelle, is an American R&B singer, actress and businesswoman.

She began her career in the early 1960s as lead singer and frontwoman of the vocal group Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles.

LaBelle is referred to as the "Godmother of Soul"  has been described as the greatest gay icon of all time
