Drake joined rapper Tory Lanez for the brand new ‘Quarantine Radio’ show on Instagram Live on 31st March. He also quipped about how a certain drink has helped him keep COVID-19 away.
Drake In “Quarantine Radio” With Tory Lanez
Drake, 33, cracked a lighthearted joke about how he’s making sure not to catch the novel coronavirus when he stopped by the Quarantine Radio. He teamed up with Tory Lanez for his new Instagram Live show. Its main purpose is to speak to celebs about their quarantine experiences. Drake’s appearance caused Tory’s stream to likely break records by touching around 246,000 viewers.
With his upbeat spirit from his Toronto home, the “One Dance” crooner didn’t fail his fans. Tory asked Drake how he has avoided contracting COVID-19 after hanging around his good friend, Brooklyn Nets player Kevin Durant. Kevin, 31, contracted it just days after hanging out with Drake. The rapper held up a drink and joked that “wine” helped him do it! After taking a sip from his drink, he cheekily answered Tory Lanez. “Honestly, a glass of wine keeps corona away, boys.”
Kevin Durant Tests Positive For COVID-19
The playful answer comes after Kevin’s announcement that he tested positive for the novel coronavirus on 17th March. Just a week before that, he had been hanging out at a basketball game and later on at The Nice Guy restaurant in Los Angeles, CA with Drake. Having spotted Kevin Durant with him, fans and friends became naturally worried if he may have caught it too. However, fortunately, Drake shared that he tested negative for COVID-19 in a livestream convo with his father, Dennis Graham.
Drake Tests Negative But What About Others?!
It’s relieving that the famed rapper didn’t catch the novel coronavirus. However, several other celebs have already caught it and the virus has now affected 859,883 people worldwide, including 188,545 in the U.S. alone. COVID-19 has claimed 42,166 lives yet, with 3,899 of them being in the U.S. The numbers will keep increasing if people don’t stay in quarantine to help prevent the spread. Celebs who have tested positive for coronavirus include Andy Cohen, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, Colton Underwood, and many more.
We’ll keep you updated if and when Drake shares any more info about his quarantine details! We hope he stays healthy!
